Giant strides have been made in breast reconstruction over the last 3 decades, with greater levels of safety and cosmesis than ever before. Several techniques of breast reconstruction are now available and the specific approach or method is carried out after a thorough clinical evaluation and discussion with the patient. The patient may require multiple surgeries and requires good compliance as far as follow up and after care is concerned.
